Have us develop a simple yet clear branding kit for your brand, including thoughtfully selected colors, textures, fonts and imagery. We’ll compile it all into an easy-to-understand document that you can refer to as needed.
E-Commerce Starter Kit
We will setup the basics to sell virtual or physical products directly from your website.
Membership & Subscriptions
Turn your site into a fully automated membership and/or subscription based community with user profiles, recurring billing and and endless array of interactive features to build and/or monetize your community.
Booking & Scheduling Apps
We can help you setup platforms like Calendly for booking meetings or other popular IRL or virtual appointment booking solutions.
These are just examples of the kinds of things you can do with a website and/or online. Anything is possible. No idea is too big or small. Inquire and tell us your idea!
Website Design Revisions
We adopt a compounded, streamlined and somewhat unorthodox approach to the website design. We skip the mockup process and go right to building the actual website itself based on a client’s branding, content, and the references shared. This keeps cost down and timelines shorter. (Note: We do employ mockups for our top tier offering, Bespoke Concierge level websites.)
Instead of designing wireframes and mockups, we skip right to building. Our process allows for real-time changes on the actual website. We are both designing and developing simultaneously. This is sometimes referred to as “no-code” or “low-code” web development. This makes the process faster and cheaper.
On new website projects, we’ll only stop making changes or ask for more money if we go round and round or a client wants something changed or reverted after it has already been approved.
Third Party Fees
Hosting
Web designers throw around the terms like host, hosting and server, but what exactly is hosting? “Hosting” describes a network of hardware and software that is, essentially, a computer where your website lives. It’s a computer that’s built specifically to reliably and efficiently display your website 24/7/365.
- WordPress web hosting is $25-30/month depending on whether you pay monthly or annually.
- All new websites are developed on servers managed by USA-based and industry-leading WordPress-specialized hosting company WP Engine.
- If you already have a website, we will encourage you to migrate to WP Engine when you begin working with us (usually at no additional cost,) but ultimately, we can work with any host.
- Hosting on other platforms like Squarespace, WIX and Shopify range from free to $30 and higher.
Domain Name
Your domain name, aka your “dot com” or (.net, .org, etc) costs, on average, $10-30/year. Usually you get a discount for buying multiple years at initial purchase.
Theme/Framework
All WordPress sites require purchasing a theme license which can range from $75 – 200, or be an additional, but nominal, monthly fee attached. Squarespace, WIX and Shopify offer both free and paid themes and extensions.
Stock Media
Part of what makes a website look good is the high-resolution and professional aesthetic. Quality images typically aren’t free unless you develop them yourself, so it’s best to set aside a small budget ($50-100) for miscellaneous expenses like a few stock photos or videos that can make your website pop.
What You Need To Provide
There are some things we just can’t do, like write about a service or product better than our clients, or know for sure which stock photo or videos they would like the best. This section outlines what clients need to provide and contribute towards the process.
Inspiration
Client are asked to share 1-2 (max 3) websites or visual reference that they’d like to influence the new website.
Branding
Branding is usually provided by the client. If no branding materials are available, we are happy to choose them for your website, or develop a full branding kit for an additional fee.
Website Content
Website content is typically provided by the client. Content is the heart of any website. Content is, for the most part:
- Text (aka “copy”). Examples of text include: company history, team bios, product and service descriptions, or articles/blog posts.
- Images. Examples of images include logos, graphic assets, headshots, or product images.
- Video. Examples of videos include promotional videos, texture/background videos or any videos you’d like to include.
Post-Launch
There are some things we just can’t do, like write about a service or product better than our clients, or know for sure which stock photo or videos they would like the best. This section outlines what clients need to provide and contribute towards the process.
Baseline Maintenance Plan
Keep your WordPress website from breaking down. If you don’t need regular updates made to the content or appearance of your site, we encourage most clients to sign up for our Baseline Maintenance Plan (aka BMP) which costs $550 every 6 months and includes regular technical updates and minor changes as needed.
